What’s Freeing is being able to let people go so they can also be freed from the unforeseen prison in which you’ve also held them captive,
Trapped behind invisible bars.
Those things you’re holding on to & still criminally charging them, not even knowing that they’ve been in a court room.
They don’t know about any charges being held against them.
What’s freeing is being able to let go so you can be lifted higher.
Higher & higher, because the weight begins to drop.
Cause it’ll be The Almighty, who begins to pick up that weight.
His shoulders can bear it,
But will you give Him that load?
His burden, is easier than what I can carry.
His yoke, is lighter than the hardships I carry.
I carry every weight on my back,
as if I were the only oxen.
Letting go the expectations of others begins to drop,
Your expectations in Him gets higher & higher,
As if you were soaring with the eagles,
Flying on top of their wings.
The more He brings me up,
The more I can go up with Him.
Soaring along & not growing weary.
Strength being renewed,
Because in my weakness,
His strength is what makes me strong.
What’s freeing is being able to finally free yourself, When you’ve been holding yourself captive for so long,
You’re the only one holding the key,
There’s nobody else in this court room,
Just you & the judge.
& He’s told you that you’re been set free.
Charges dropped, you are free.
You’ve been released, you’ve become brand new,
Because in Him, I am a new creature, a new creation.
Because He makes all things new.
Gone ahead & free yourself.
You’ve been captive for too long,
Captive as if you were a runaway fugitive.
Captive inside one of the smallest box on earth,
That same box that doesn’t have a key,
A small box where you can barely breathe,
barely move, & can barely be.
What’s freeing is being able to walk in the freedom, That freedom you’ve been called to walk in,
to have faith in,
& to run free in.
Being told to grab His hand,
while we experience His freedom.
What’s freeing is letting go of the unfogiveness of the past.
Especially of those, that didn’t mean me any harm.
That’s what He told me,
Past mistakes, past mishaps & being able to put those ashes in the hands of the Creator,
Who knows how to make beauty from those same ashes.
Cause who knows what beauty will come,
When you place those ashes into His mighty hands, & watch Him craft & create an everlasting beauty.
He’ll be able to create,
When you finally let the pen go,
Let the pen go & begin to trust in the author.
The author & the finisher of my faith,
The potter of all clays,
Finishing His masterpiece. That in which I am.
He is the potter, I am His clay,
& for sure He’s still having His way.
When He has His way, I’ll be able to have my way,
Because I’ll be on my way
To the path to freedom.
